Pandas deprecated axis=1 in groupby

FutureWarning.*DataFrame\.groupby with axis=1 is deprecated

Fixes

1.Use df.T.groupby(...) then transpose back
2.Switch to using .apply() across columns instead
3.Restructure data so groupby operates on axis=0
